Size Chart For Bangles

Bangles are measured in inches by the measurement of their diameter. The diameter refers to the length of the line that connects the ends of the circumference as it passes through the center. One inch is divided into 16 inches. This means that a bangle size of 2-8 (pronounced as two eight) refers to a diameter of 2 inches and eight sections of the 16 sections of an inch. This measurement essentially converts to 2 inches + 8/16 inches or 2 and a half inches. This size is also known as 2.5”.

How You Can Measure Bangle Size For Yourself

Measure Bangles That Fit Well
To measure the right bangle size for yourself, measure the inside diameter of the bangles you already own and those that fit you well. Once you have that measurement, compare it to the measurements in the chart above to find your right size. If you have measured the inside diameter correctly of the bangle that fits you well, you will be able to find your perfect size.
Take Your Hand Measurement
Taking your hand measurement can be tricky, but it is another way to find your perfect bangle size. You will get an accurate result if you do it correctly. For this, find the flexible tape, a ruler, or a piece of string. Follow the steps mentioned below to find your size:
  • Squeeze your hand in the smallest position by bringing your thumb and little finger together, just like you do while wearing bangles.
  • Then using the string or tape, measure the widest point of your hand, keeping the measuring tape/string as tight as possible, and note the circumference reading. In case you are using a string, then mark the point where it meets and then measure the length of the string on a ruler.
  • Then, find the circumference reading on the bangle measurement chart to find your right size. Choose bangles a size up from your actual hand measurement for the best-fit bangles.
